The Prash Machines Multispindle Drilling cum Tapping Machine is a next-generation manufacturing solution engineered for simultaneous drilling and rigid tapping of multiple holes in a single machining cycle. Designed for high-volume precision production, the machine combines Servo-controlled spindle rotation and Servo-controlled linear feed to deliver exceptional machining accuracy, repeatability, and productivity across a wide range of industrial applications.
The machine features a Universal Adjustable Multispindle Head, allowing flexible adjustment of spindle centre distances to accommodate various hole patterns without requiring dedicated tooling. This enables quick setup, reduced tooling costs, and excellent adaptability for multiple component variants.
Unlike conventional multispindle machines, the Prash Machines system employs independent Servo Motors for both spindle rotation and linear axis movement. The spindle speed and feed rate are electronically synchronized through advanced motion control, enabling true Rigid Tapping without the need for mechanical lead screw synchronization or floating tap holders. This electronic synchronization ensures accurate thread pitch, consistent thread depth, superior thread quality, and significantly reduces tap breakage while extending tool life.
The precision Servo Feed System provides programmable rapid approach, controlled cutting feed, rigid tapping cycle, and rapid return, allowing optimum machining parameters for drilling, counterboring, spot facing, chamfering, reaming, and tapping operations.
High-precision Linear Motion Guideways (LM Guides), combined with a rigid machine structure and precision-ground transmission components, provide excellent dynamic stiffness and vibration damping, ensuring superior positional accuracy and long-term machining stability even during continuous production.
The machine is equipped with a PLC-based control system featuring an intuitive Touch Screen HMI for easy programming of machining cycles, spindle speed, feed rates, tapping parameters, dwell time, and production recipes. Optional features include automatic coolant delivery, centralized lubrication, automatic workpiece clamping, tool monitoring, safety interlocks.
